JYP Entertainment Criticized for TWICE's Line Distribution in 'BETWEEN 1&2' Album
Recently on August 26, TWICE made a comeback with the release of their eleventh mini album "BETWEEN 1&2," led by the lead single "Talk That Talk." The album also contains six other tracks, entitled "Queen of Hearts," "Basics," "Trouble," "Brave," "Gone," and "When We Were Kids."
Like their previous comebacks, TWICE is receiving a lot of attention for their new album. However, the line distribution among the members for this album is drawing criticism towards the group's label JYP Entertainment.
Upon seeing how the lines are distributed among the TWICE members for each song, many have come to conclude that JYP Entertainment is showing bias towards a particular member - Nayeon.
For the album's title track "Talk That Talk," Nayeon is the member who has the most lines. According to a graph, Nayeon, who is the group's lead vocalist and center, took up 25.4 percent of the song's lines. While Jihyo, who is the main vocalist, took up 17.1 percent of it.

The rest of the members had line distributions between 6.8 percent to 9.1 percent, with Momo having the least amount of lines.
In the other songs on the album, netizens also pointed out that usually one or two members would dominate the song with the amount of lines they had, while majority of the members had less than 10 percent. In fact, Nayeon has nearly 30 percent of the lines for their songs "Queen of Hearts" and "Gone."
Calculating their line distributions for all seven songs in the album, Nayeon takes up 21.5 percent of the album, followed by Jihyo with 19.2 percent, Chaeyoung with 11.1 percent, Jeongyeon with 9.4 percent, Mina with 9.2 percent, Tzuyu with 7.6 percent, Sana with 7.5 percent, Dahyun with 6.7 percent, and Momo with 6.6 percent.

As a result, fans have expressed their dissatisfaction with JYP Entertainment for not giving the other members a fair amount of lines for each song.
However, some have also come to the line distribution's defense, with fans pointing out that this is the fairest line distribution TWICE has had since their debut. Although the amount of lines for each member in not equal, it is worth noting that some of the members received more lines as compared to their past releases.
