On August 30 at 6 p.m. KST, Key, a member of the 14-year group SHINee flaunted his musical spectrum apart from the quintet's as he unveiled its second full-length album, "Gasoline."

On this day, the music video of its title track with the same name was also revealed, gaining attention for its futuristic worldview, which captured the interest of the viewers.

in particular, the story depicts Key, becoming a transcendent figure governing a kingdom after lighting up the mysterious energy called "Gasoline," drawing high attention from music fans.

Meanwhile, the hip-hop dance song itself also gained love, especially the colorful and magnificent brass and drum sounds, its concise and addictive chants such as "A-list (Champ)," as well as the lyrics that Key participated with when writing.

In particular, the song is released under the male idol's second studio album with the same name.

Released simultaneously with the lead track, other 10 songs were also included such as "Bound," "Villain," "Burn," "Guilty Pleasure," "G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time), "I Can't Sleep," "Ain't Gonna Dance," "Another Life," "Delight," and "Proud."

The song, "Villain" before its release particularly earned much anticipation as it was a song featuring Key's junior, NCT Dream Jeno.

Although the title track's live performance was initially showcased during SMTOWN LIVE 2022:SMCU@EXPRESS" both in Korea (Suwon) and Japan (Tokyo), there's still high anticipation for his appearances in music shows and programs.

Prior to his release, Key held a press conference and countdown live on the same day.

During his presscon, the "I Wanna Be" singer conveyed his feelings after releasing a new album after 11 months. He said:

"In fact, I wanted to prepare a full-length album even when I did 'Bad Love', but there are some songs that I couldn't release because I was afraid it would be too late. I had the 'Gasoline' album in mind, and I'm really happy that it actually came out as a product like this."

Talking about the album, Key revealed some behind-the-scenes stories about him participating in the lyrics-writing.

"Kenzie asked, 'Do you want to try writing lyrics?' I originally wanted to leave the title song to someone who is much better than me, but Kenzie is so good at directing that I became a co-writer."

Key, who also co-wrote, "G.O.A.T," "I Can't Sleep" and "Proud" added:

"Now I thought it would be vital to have an autobiographical story. It's definitely necessary to sing love songs written by others, but I thought I needed an autobiographical story for my level up."
