Netizens Describe 'BORN PINK' as a Mini Album Instead
Many netizens felt disappointed and baffled at the fact that "BORN PINK" will only contain eight songs, given that it is supposed to be a studio album.
The disappointment is heightened as BLACKPINK did not have a full group comeback in over two years, and many felt that the girl group would have used this time to create more songs to be included in "BORN PINK."
In fact, it seems that BLACKPINK's studio albums would only contain eight songs in total, as their previous album "THE ALBUM" also had only eight songs in its track list, with two also pre-released months prior.

For longtime fans of the group, many expressed they wouldn't have been disappointed with the number of songs in the album had BLACKPINK been consistently making comebacks in the past years.
So far, BLACKPINK has only released one studio album and two mini albums since their debut in August 2016. While their studio album contains eight songs, their mini albums only have four songs each.
Some comments from netizens read:
"It is a shame that they don't have ten songs, but I am looking forward to the quality of the songs."
"After two years, 'BORN PINK' is going to be an eight-song album. Next Friday, we'll technically only be getting six new songs after such a long hiatus. 'Pink Venom; I understand, it's the pre-release, but 'Ready For Love'??? It was a leaked song from 2020 used for a PUBG collab and it's the closing song on the track list for some reason. At best, this is a glorified mini album."
"At this point I'm over it. I don't even feel like complaining because YGE doesn't care. They give the bare minimum and don't care to change. After two years, the album should have been 10 tracks minimum. This announcement just killed like 90% if the excitement for me. Like I'm so used to this BS from them that I'm just numb."
"I have never expected YG to give us ten songs for a full album, but I feel robbed... Even so, I am looking forward to [the album]."
"It's not gonna change. Because even disappointed, BP songs still charts well and sell millions. They don't need to make that much songs and fans will eat it up anyway. I guess what best is that you have to get use to it."
What do you think of the number of songs in their upcoming album?
