On the Sept. 27 episode of KBS2's "Okay? Okay!," Yoon Jisung appeared as the guest. There, he shared his worries and frustrations during his time as a WANNA ONE member and now that he's a solo artist.

He revealed, "Ever since the audition program until WANNA ONE disbanded to the present time, I've been a target of torment."

Jisung then shared the first time he saw a post criticizing him, saying it was after filming an episode where the contestants underwent some kind of fan meeting to determine their popularity. This was a recognition test for the trainees.

Although many people came to see him on the "Produce 101" set, he encountered a post online talking about how he was happy and shaking their hand when they were haters.

According to "Okay? Okay!," the post reads, "Yoon Jisung haha this XX (T/N: curse word) doesn't even know that people hate him and gave us a handshake thinking that we liked him."

After he debuted as a WANNA ONE member, Yoon Jisung continued to receive hate. There were usual criticisms that he could not sing well, and neither was he handsome. Some people also bashed him for his age. He was 27 years old at the time of his debut.

The male idol then confessed to the "Okay? Okay?" hosts- Oh Eun Young and Yang Se Hyung- that it was a difficult time for him.

As a result, Yoon Jisung went straight to the CEO of the company managing WANNA ONE and pleaded to be removed from the group. He also said that he was crying while begging. Thankfully, the CEO was able to persuade Jisung to stay in the group.

The soloist further said, "Even in the moments I wanted to give up, I couldn't make it obvious. I didn't want to show myself being swayed and falling down by words that tormented me and mocked me."

After WANNA ONE concluded their activities in January 2019, Yoon Jisung debuted as a solo artist one month later under LM Entertainment. He is now under DG Entertainment, and is a member of the project group LUNA under the name Yuchan.

Yoon Jisung's Recent Activities

In the first half of the year, Yoon Jisung had a few activities including his solo comeback in April.

On April 27, he dropped his third EP titled "Miro," which is his first music release under his new agency DG Entertainment. The mini-album features the title track "Bloom," along with four B-sides. In its first week, "Miro" sold a total of 9,132 copies on the Hanteo Chart.

At 7 p.m. KST on the day of its release, Yoon Jisung's "Bloom" debuted at No. 27 on Bugs. The B-sides also entered the same chart: "Summer Drive" (feat. JR) at No. 67, "ToDogToDog" at No. 79, "Florescence" at No. 80, and "Sleep" at No. 86.

On May 14 and 15, the former WANNA ONE member held his first solo concert called "Miro: Prologue" at the COEX Artium in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
