Hallyu Korea to Hold 4th K-pop Cultural Day - "2022 Hallyu Com-On in Swiss" this October

Unique in Switzerland, unmissable and highly anticipated by followers of Korean culture, the 4th K-pop Cultural Day - "2022 Hallyu Com-On in Swiss", will be held at the CPO in Lausanne on 22 October 2022. This offline event will bring together in one place K-pop dance and singing competitions, K-pop dance workshops, music, make-up workshops and Korean food stalls for a complete immersion in Korean culture.

After two online editions, Hallyu Korea is happy to welcome K-culture fans and the curious for the K-pop dance and singing cover competition after the pandemic. More than 30 applications (from 1 to 7 members) were registered, coming from all over Switzerland and even from France, Italy and Germany.

The final competition will be judged by former 1 Million Studio choreographer BongYoung Park. He will also lead the two dance workshops scheduled for 22 and 23 October in Geneva in collaboration with Hobistudio association and K-pop dance school.

Whether through music and bands like BTS, K-drama TV series or Korean aesthetics and make-up, the K-pop phenomenon has been making a lot of noise in recent years. The association Hallyu Korea (K-pop Swiss) in Switzerland, under the aegis of the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Embassy in Switzerland, promotes the Korean wave in Switzerland.

More about the first editions

The Swiss association Hallyu Korea organized the first Swiss K-pop Culture Day in Lausanne on 25 January 2020. This first edition was a great success: 17 participants, a crowd of 500 people and several major Swiss media including RTS.

The second event took place online, broadcasted live on Youtube, on November 21st 2020. This edition was exposed to more than 3'300 viewers and the Swiss TV channel RTS also covered part of the event in a Mise au Point documentary on 29 November 2020.

The third event, Hallyu Com-on Swiss 2021 (K-pop Cover Dance&Singing Competition) was also broadcasted live online on YouTube on 13 November 2021 and included the singing competition for the very first time.
