In the wake of news that some rather nasty anti-cafes had sprung up to attack 7-year-old Dad, Where are You Going? Cast member Yoon Hoo, many Korean celebrities have been showing their support.

On June 11 a sort of unofficial national movement began to spread across the country as idols, actors, and other famous South Koreans have joined with netizens for the "Yoon Hoo, I love you" event.

Anti-cafes for Yoon Hoo as well as Min Gook, another member of the popular TV show's cast, have been shut down in response to the overwhelming support for the youngsters shown on social media.

Among the celebs joining the movement are After School's Lizzy, D-Unit's Jin, and Baek A Yeon.

Netizens seemed to welcome the supportive tweets from these idols, but when Super Junior's Kangin posted love messages, the tables soon turned and many hateful comments were left in response.

Kangin wrote an encouraging message for Yoon Hoo and called on fans to support him as well, saying, , "Yoon Hoo is mine. ELFs, let's help out so that Yoon Hoo won't be hurt. Let's cheer him on."

He then posted a photo that included an additional message, "Yoon Hoo, your uncle - no, your hyung cherishes you."

Such a nice sounding tweet then received an immediate, and rather nasty response.

"Worry about yourself. Who do you think you are trying to connect yourself to Yoon Hoo to change your image?" said one rather abrasive post.

The same sentiment was shared by other commenters including, "Worry about yourself, man. You're just like T-ARA, trying to latch yourself onto anything to fix your image," or another that simple read, "Are you kidding me? Haha go sit in jail."

It seems netizens are still up in arms over Kangin's DUI and hit and run accident in 2009. Even though the event happened nearly four years ago, Kangin has been trying hard to shake the negative sentiments that have surrounded him ever since, almost like he is incapable of doing anything right.

Among the negative comments, however, there are some rays of hope for the idol singer.

"Netizens or anti cafes are all the same in that parties love to hate for no reason," explained one post. "I don't particularly like Kangin myself, but he's obviously just trying to help by getting his fans to participate in something good. Netizens are no different from that anti cafe at times like this."
