We are used to seeing K-pop idols rock the stages of comeback shows, stadiums, and arenas, decorated with extravagant props and expensive lighting. But what if, suddenly, your favorite K-pop acts appear in your street while you are throwing the garbage or in your school while you are accomplishing an assignment? Or in the mall where you do your weekly shopping?
Here are K-pop artists who slayed the outside stage and defied the traditional performances:
1. Stray Kids performed 'Thunderous' in front of Korean President
These stalwarts from JYP Entertainment are indeed "everywhere, all round the world" when the octet group was named as ambassadors for the Korean pavilion at the Dubai Expo. With this, Stray Kids was given the chance to promote Korean culture.
Enough to say, Stray Kids took this responsibility seriously as they performed last January 2022 on occasion while wearing modernized Handbooks to the beat of Thunderous. The impeccable performance was watched by important world leaders, including the South Korean president.

According to STAYs, they are proud of Stray Kids as they are among the 21st century artists who mix traditional Korean culture and music with modernity. Ultimately, fans are overwhelmed because during this juncture of the expo, Stray Kids is among the representatives of South Korea to the world.
2. TWICE healed fans with 'TT' hospital version
Before Stray Kids rocked their Thunderous performance in front of significant world leaders, their labelmate, TWICE performed their signature song 'TT' in a HOSPITAL!
Upon watching some of the fan cams of this performance, ONCEs cannot help but joke that even though if they are in a state of coma, they will get up to watch these talented girls perform. This stage by TWICE garnered praise from the fans as TWICE proved their humility and talent.

The girls from TWICE may not have physically healed those in the hospital at that time, but surely, they were able to deliver a memorable performance that relieved the hearts of the viewers.
3. BTS didn't need 'Permission to Dance' at UNGA
BTS, one of South Korea's pride, accompanied then President Moon Jae-in to the United Nation last September 2021. The multi-billion dollar K-pop act was assigned as special presidential envoy for future generations and culture, hence implying their attendance at the gathering.
Aside from delivering a speech address to young people at the U.N. headquarters, the septet boy group took center stage as they performed their then latest song and smash hit, Permission to Dance. Dazing the performance, BTS danced through the assembly hall.

Almost a decade after the exceptional performance, SNSD was praised for their stage diversity as they also got the chance to perform at the airport, helipad, and water park - all of which are unusual places for performances!
5. aespa being 'Savage' at Macy's Thanksgiving Parade
To mark their first performance in the United States, the quartet group from SM Entertainment performed 'Savage' during the Macy's Thanksgiving parade, which drew attention both from K-pop fans and ordinary citizens.
Although aespa received criticism from this performance, local and international news outlets still consider the performance as "historical" and "iconic" as they are the first K-pop girl group to perform in the said parade.
Aside from the performance, the girls were also praised for their thoughtful interactions with the fans as manifested by how they read the banners, waved at the fans, and laughed at the memes brought by the MYs.
