'Kill This Love' Music Video Gathers A Whopping 1.7 Billion Views, BLACKPINK Secures Another Achievement
On November 25 at around 2:53 p.m KST, the music video for BLACKPINK's 2019 mega hit "Kill This Love" on YouTube reached 1.7 billion views, according to YG Entertainment.
BLACKPINK's mega hit DDU-DUDD-DU was the first K-Pop group music video for 2019 to reach this number on Youtube, following "Kill This Love" who reached 1.7 billion views, according to YG Entertainment.
In addition to the feat, it is just the third K-pop music video overall-after PSY's "Gangnam Style" and BLACKPINK's "DDU-DU DDU-DU"-to surpass the 1.7 billion milestone.
As a result, BLACKPINK has become the first Korean artist to ever exceed the milestone with more than one music video in addition to becoming the first-and to date, only-K-pop group to do so with a music video.
It took "Kill This Love" little over 3 years, 7 months, and 20 days to reach 1.7 billion views from its first release on April 5, 2019, at midnight KST.
