Here's what the idol said.

Super Junior Apologizes For Defending Former Bandmate Kangin & Other Comments

On February 9, Super Junior Heechul guested on comedian BJ Choi's live broadcast in AfreecaTV. During the broadcast, attention was locked on Heechul because of his honest remarks on Kangin, cat moms, and ASTRO Cha Eun Woo.

In his next controversial remark, Heechul shares his close relationship with Bogyum. The Korean YouTuber is famously known for being misogynistic. It was followed him calling out Korea's resentment towards Japan, profanely calling the effort nonsense.

He also spoke negatively about women, who in their 20s or 40s, devote their time to cats. The idol then defended former Super Junior member Kangin. Although Heechul believes Kangin deserved to be punished for his actions, he also described him as someone who wouldn't back down from conflicts.

Heechul also caught flak when he depicted ASTRO Cha Eun Woo as an "alpha male," in which he portrayed as violent and protective.
