Amid SuperM's upcoming comeback, "Pink Bloods" expressed divided opinions about whether the team should continue as a group or cancel their release and just disband. The debate grew bigger following SM Entertainment CEO's message.
SuperM Comeback 2023: CEO Lee Sung Soo Updates on Group's Upcoming Release
In December 2022, SM Entertainment founder and former executive producer Lee Soo Man confirmed SuperM's comeback in 2023 through CNBC.
Based on the report, the "Avengers of K-pop" comprised of SHINee Taemin, EXO Baekhyun and Kai, NCT 127 Taeyong and Mark as well as WayV Ten and Lucas will have their release early this year, speculated to happen this spring. This calculation was based on Taemin's military discharge which will be in April.

In January, SM Entertainment also released a comeback announcement teaser, raising fans' expectations.
However, following this news, there are no further details about the septet's much-anticipated return. In a recent artist activity plan released by SM Entertainment's CEOs Lee Sung Soo and Tak Young Joon, SuperM is also not included on the list.
Thus, fans are worried that the group's return to the music scene will not be pushed through amid SM infighting and HYBE acquisition issues.
As a response to this, CEO Lee, the nephew of Lee Soo Man added a further message:
"I plan to make another notice for SuperM separately."
SuperM's Upcoming Return Draws Mixed Reactions– Should They Disband or Not?
Following this message, the reactions of Pink Bloods (SM stan), especially Shawols (SHINee fandom), EXO-Ls (EXO's fans), NCTzens (NCT fans) and WayzenNis (WayV fandom) were not as good as expected.
Although there are supporters who want to see the seven members together on stage again, there are a lot of fans from the aforementioned fandoms who are hoping that their comeback will be canceled and demand the team disband.
Indeed, there are various REASONS K-pop enthusiasts don't want the group to continue. Firstly, netters want the members to focus on their respective groups and solo releases, especially Taemin, Baekhyun and Kai. Taemin who will be discharged from the military is also preparing for SHINee's 15th debut anniversary in May and his solo return. As for Baekhyun and Kai, they will also participate in the much-awaited EXO comeback and release their solo albums.
With SuperM's album in between, fans think that it will be tiring for both the members and their supporters.
Also, the team's return raises brows due to member Lucas's possible continuation of his activities through SuperM after hiatus in the music scene for over a year already.
After his cheating and gaslighting scandal, some people want him out of both NCT (WayV) and SuperM, but people were skeptical this will happen. This is after CEO Lee Sung Soo took photos with the idol together, on the same day Lucas uploaded a dance cover. In this regard, there is speculation among fans that "it is a meeting for SuperM."
A lot of netizens were already claiming that they will not support the group if Lucas would be included, thus, fans were claiming SuperM should just part ways to avoid harming and hurting the other members.
