K-pop Artists Top Over Billboard's World Albums Chart
Billboard has officially announced its World Albums chart, which included star-studded K-pop artists.
In the list, TXT concluded its fourth consecutive week on the World Albums chart with album "The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION."
TWICE's album "BETWEEN 1&2" has also soared on World Albums at No. 9, scoring its 22nd week on the chart.
They were trailed by NewJeans, who ranked at No. 11 with their debut extended play "New Jeans." This marks the album's 20th week on World Albums chart.
NCT 127 reached out on No. 13 with their studio album "2 Baddies," spending 23 consecutive weeks on the World Albums chart.
BTS's 'Proof' Reigns on Billboard 200 With Highest Group Sales for 2022
In other news, BTS's "Proof" has also dominated with the biggest sales in the chart. On June 19, BTS secured the No. 1 spot on the Top 200 Albums chart with their anthology album, "Proof."
The Top 200 Albums chart - a weekly record that lists the most popular albums in the United States - gave BTS's proof the top spot after selling 314,00 equivalent album units during the week ending on June 16. It also included 266,000 pure album sales, and 12,000 track equivalent (TEA) units.
It also gained 26,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, which translates to a 52.84 million on-demand first-week streams since the album's release.
