After being repeatedly criticized for not being able to sing live in the past, TWICE earned praise for improvements in live singing skills especially THESE members after their "SET ME FREE" encore.
TWICE Wins 1st Place Trophy at 'Music Bank' With 'SET ME FREE'
On March 17, TWICE proved their status as "Nation's Girl Group" after earning the first place trophy in the KBS's music show, "Music Bank"!
Indeed, the members were lauded for their dance skills, ONCEs and netters highlighting that their movements were on-point while at the same time having fun with their fans.
On top of their dance skills, K-pop enthusiasts and viewers were amazed at their improved singing. Unlike in the past when they were repeatedly criticized for "not being able to sing live well," the team was lauded for their stable and louder vocals.
In fact, the KBS Kpop YouTube channel even uploaded the encore stage of TWICE without backtracking, certifying their singing abilities.
Among the members, Jihyo, one of the third-gen female idols with the best vocals didn't disappoint with her singing prowess that doesn't need any autotune.
Nayeon, Jeongyeon and Sana also mesmerized viewers with their more stable vocals, applauding them for reaching notes, especially high notes like they eat their CD for breakfast.
But among members, Momo and Tzuyu were specially acknowledged for improved vocals. Before, they were criticized for often missing notes, but people emphasized that the two stars sounded more confident, pleasing and stable now than before.
Fans and web users who saw their encore stage left comments such as:
- "Love their encore stage."
- "This video will surely shut up haters."
- "Momo and Tzuyu! They really improved."
- "TWICE members are not bad singers, they just lack confidence. But their encore today is so fun to watch and they sound so stable despite enjoying the song with their fans."
- "This is one of their best encore stages."
