KCON 2023 Successfully Ended + Performances, Activities, Many More!
On March 20, The two-day festival 'KCON 2023 THAILAND' was successfully ended. The "KCON 2023" was held in Bangkok, Thailand, for the first time in four years. Bangkok is KCON's first destination in Southeast Asia.
Among others, audiences from Thailand, Japan, China, and Singapore presented participatory content that linked the signature "POPPIA" and artists.
This KCON warmed up the night in Bangkok with a Bangkok-specialized stage configuration and a signature stage upgrade. Performances, collaborations, and unique sets by ATEEZ, BamBam, (G)I-DLE, iKON, ITZY, Kep1er, and Youngjae (GOT7) were prepared in Bangkok's 'Impact Arena', where the show was reportedly held.
For the initial time in K-CON, (G)I-DLE performed the girl group version of their signature song "POPPIA", on the first day of the event.
Following this, MCs BamBam and Minnie, Thai K-pop idols well-liked in their home country, appeared and announced the start of KCON. BamBam and Youngjae performed GOT7's "Hard Carry" with junior artist TNX.
P1 Harmony, JO1, (G)I-DLE, ATEEZ, iKON, Kepler, Youngjae, BamBam, and ITZY interact with fans through games and talks in "Meet & Greet," which was an opportunity to meet artists closest to the fans.
This KCON 2023 has content optimized to the aggressive tendencies of Thai K-pop fans. The 'Impact International Exhibition Hall,' where the convention is held, was divided into "KCON Stage," "KCON Square," "We Are K-Pop," and "K Collection," each with its own set of experiential contents.
In particular, the "K Collection," a promotional exhibition of 28 outstanding domestic small and medium-sized enterprises that produce five major consumer products (promising export items) such as beauty, household goods, and food, chosen by CJ ENM in collaboration with the Ministry of Small and Medium Business Venture Business and the Large, Small and Medium Business, Agriculture and Fisheries Cooperation Foundation.
In addition to making 1,478 on-site sales during the KCON sales promotion, these SMEs are conducting 1:1 business consultations (B2B) and export consultations worth $7.3 million with 40 local buyers through this project. etc., have achieved excellent outcomes.
Local reactions have been heightened as they return after 4 years. This year, approximately 5.13 million online and offline audiences attended K-Con and enjoyed trademark conventions and shows found only at K-Con.
"KCON 2023" will occur in Tokyo, Japan, in May and Los Angeles, California, USA, in August.
