TWICE's 'READY TO BE' Spends 3 Consecutive Weeks on Billboard 200
TWICE's 12th mini album "READY TO BE" is still maintaining its hold on the Billboard 200.
The album has now spent its third consecutive week on Billboard 200, which earned its place on No. 28. "READY TO BE" has earned the position for the week ending on April 8, making it TWICE's second album to achieve three weeks on Billboard 200's top 30.
Initially, on March 19, Billboard revealed that "READY TO BE" had debuted at Billboard 200's No. 2. This led TWICE to be the female K-pop artist with the highest U.S. sales week ever recorded.
With Luminate's data, "READY TO BE" garnered 153 equivalent album units through the week which ended on March 15. It was followed by 145 traditional album sales, 7,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, 10.28 million on-demand streams, and 500 track equivalent album (TEA) units for its first week sales.
The album led TWICE to become the first-ever female K-pop artist to enter three albums on the Billboard 200's top 3, and the first to insert four albums on its top 10 rankings.
It is also TWICE's sixth album entry on Billboard 200, which trailed "MORE&MORE" at No. 200, "Eyes wide open" at No. 72, "Taste of Love" at No. 6, "Formula of Love: O+T=<3" at No. 3, and lastly, "BETWEEN 1&2" which also secured No. 3.
"READY TO BE" also made its entry to other charts apart from Billboard 200. For its third week, the album placed No. 22 on Tastemaker Albums, No. 7 on both Top Current Album Sales and Top Album Sales charts, as well as No. 2 on World Albums chart. TWICE also spent 24 weeks on the Artist 100, though non-consecutively.
Meanwhile, the album's title track "SET ME FREE" claimed No. 155 on Global 200 for its third week, and No. 99 on Global Excl U.S. chart.
TWICE Breaks Personal Record With 1.7 Million Stock Pre-Orders With Album 'READY TO BE'
In other news, TWICE broke their own pre-order record with album "READY TO BE." On March 8, TWICE's agency JYP Entertainment announced the album had surpassed 1.7 million stock pre-orders, which was conclude on March 7.
For further context, pre-orders are the number of albums purchased beforehand before its official drop date. To determine the overall total sales, data must be analyzed on the estimated demand from dedicated fans, who usually reserves the album before its official release.
"READY TO BE" made its breakthrough by exceeding 1.7 million stock pre-orders, leading it to become the fifth K-pop album from a girl group to outdo the 1 million stock pre-order mark.
