BTS Goes OT7: Group Reportedly Singing Theme Song for Animated Film 'Bastions'

BTS will be singing a soundtrack for upcoming animated film "Bastions," and will be a full-member release.

ARMYs will be given another bop from BTS!

On April 14, Thymos Media officially announced that BTS would be dropping a new song for "Bastions," an upcoming 3D animated superhero film. In this opening theme, BTS will offer their majestic voices in full group, and was recorded before member Jin enlisted in the military.

Fans were given a glimpse of the opening track of "Bastions" on April 14. In the video, it showed the three main cast wandering in a futuristic, neon city. Its blaring soundtrack matches with the video's neo noir feel, while showcasing its characters dancing to the beat.

According to sources, BTS will also be joined by popular K-pop artists including Brave Girls, AleXa, Heize, LE SSERAFIM, and many more.

"Bastions" is an animated film about superheroes who protects the environment and fight pollution. The film is scheduled on May 14 at 7:30 a.m. KST, and will be premiered on SBS.

ARMYs expressed their excitement with the song, unable to contain their happiness with BTS's new release. Fans stated they would also anticipate the animated film, while others were just happy to receive another OT7 song again after a long time.

BTS V Achieves Historic Record on Billboard's Global Excl US Chart

In other news, V of BTS has scored a new milestone in his career. On January 25, Billboard unveiled the chart for Global Excl. US, which records the most popular songs worldwide, except for the United States. The music chart covered the week ending on January 29, 2022.

On the list, BTS V's "Christmas Tree" ranked at the No. 97 spot, placing into the Top 100. After its debut on Billboard Global Excl. US on January 8, 2022, "Christmas Tree" stayed on the tally for three consecutive weeks, making V the first Korean male solo artist to do so.

The song also made a historic record on Global Excl. US by entering No, 43, which is considered the highest rank for any Korean OST and a song from a Korean male solo artist. It also made its re-entry on Global 200, charting at No. 174.
