Koreans recently participated in an online poll, voting for the most scandalous stars in their entertainment industry. The results revealed the top three names, including former BIGBANG member Seungri, rapper NO:EL, and actress Kim Sae-ron.
Seungri Tops the List
According to a poll conducted by DC Inside, a popular community portal site in Korea, former BIGBANG member Seungri was voted as the most scandalous star. The ongoing poll, which started last May 1st and will last until May 7th has already gathered 34,319 votes by midnight on May 6th.
Seungri secured the top place with 5,908 votes, constituting 17% of the total. The disgraced ex K-pop star faced a three-year prison sentence. He was also fined with a 1.15 billion won ($1 million) restitution order. This was decided by the military court due to his involvement in a sex and gambling scandal. The former Big Bang singer, 30, was found guilty on all nine charges. His conviction led to investigations revealing allegations against other musicians and staff at YG Entertainment, prompting the resignation of CEO Yang Hyun-suk.
NO:EL Ranks Second
Rapper NO:EL secured the second position with 4,616 votes (13%). NO:EL has been involved in multiple controversies, including drunk driving incidents, which have tarnished his image in the entertainment industry.

Allegedly, the Korean rapper refused a breathalyzer test and attempted to assault an officer at the scene. NO:EL has parted ways with his agency following this incident. The politician's son who also previously appeared on Mnet's High School Rapper, has a history of scandals, including soliciting prostitutes, coercing women, and bad-mouthing his family.
Actress Kim Sae-ron Takes Third Place
Actress Kim Sae-ron claimed the third spot with 4,396 votes (13%). Like NO:EL, Kim Sae-ron has faced criticism for her involvement in a drunk driving incident, which generated significant controversy in the Korean entertainment scene.
She crashed into structures and caused a heavy power outage, which led to a 20 million won fine. Subsequent inconsistencies in her statements, fake claims of working at a cafe, and images of her playing poker have further damaged her reputation. The actress now faces a daunting task of winning back public favor.
