Hong Jin Young's Behavior on Radio Star 'Genuine Vs. Rude'

Singer Hong Jin Young made a guest appearance on the popular talk show Radio Star on June 12. Many viewers loved what she had to say-or how she said them, rather-while others begged to disagree as they considered her behavior on TV as rude and inappropriate.

Certainly, Hong Jin Young was entertaining. From her random, unfiltered personal stories to very straightforward method of speech that put even the hosts of the show-notorious for being curt and blunt-on a hold for moments here and there, she constantly surprised the fellow guests and the viewers alike.

Among those who praised Hong Jin Young as the new blue chip of variety shows were opinions such as "Her honesty is second to none," "She is quite a character," "She would be a very fun girl to date."

However, her frequent use of non-honorific forms of Korean to other guest members and hosts who are years older than her did not find favor in many viewers' eyes. Although she explained it is unintentional and rather a force of habit, many expressed their criticism toward what they considered a rude behavior on national television.

On Twitter, she apologized, "I will be more careful from now on. Please don't hate me."
