Amid anticipation for ITZY's upcoming comeback, fandom MIDZYs sent protest trucks to JYP Entertainment, demanding better treatment for the group. Here's why.
MIDZYs Rally With Protest Trucks, Demand JYP Entertainment to Give ITZY Better Treatment
On June 19, MIDZYs (ITZY fandom) expressed their frustration and dismay at JYP Entertainment by sending protest trucks in front of the company's headquarters in Gangdong-gu, Seoul.
In particular, the trucks came with texts that cite their demands from the agency.
"Fans are getting tired during the hiatus
If you don't know, let's memorize it
Comeback in the first and second half of the year."
"Produce self-contained (own content)
Insensitive trends OUT
No-jaem editing OUT"
"If it's a design that can't keep up with the album's reality trend that only takes care of A&R and concept planning power and cost-effectiveness, then fold the enterprise."
In the past, fans already aired their concern regarding the group's album quality despite being a representative K-pop group from a "BIG 3" company.

Regarding ITZY's "hemeko" (hair, makeup, and coordination) controversy, the team's fan union, which joined forces to make the protest trucks possible, added:
"Styling without shame OUT
Change the hair and makeup shop without skills."
The protets includes not only the group members but also their stage.
"Improve all of the unchanging stage costumes, insincere stage composition, and monotonous concert production."
MIDZYs also demanded the members' personal activities, resignation, and disbandment of JYP Entertainment's second headquarters.
"Stop following an outdated company policy Release the members' personal activities"
Along with this, international MIDZYs are also participating in the protest through social media platforms, such as Twitter, by promoting hashtag parties.
As of writing, JYP Entertainment is yet to release its official statement addressing this. However, with ITZY heralding to make a summer comeback, attention is being paid to how the agency will respond to fans' demands.
