Minors debuting in K-pop has been a long-time concern among fans. This is why these rookies broke the stereotype and entered the music scene with all adult members.
Since the first-gen K-pop, idols debuting while in their teens is not new even if they are minors. Some of the currently most popular stars even debuted at a young age, such as BoA at 13, SHINee Taemin (14), IVE Jang Wonyoung (14), BTS Jungkook (15), and many more.
As more fans showed increased awareness about overworked underage idols, some companies decided to debut new groups with all adult members, giving fans a huge sigh of relief.
Here Are 5 All-Adult Rookie Girl Groups
1. KISS OF LIFE
Launched by S2 Entertainment, KISS OF LIFE (KIOF) debuted on July 5, 2023 with their self-titled mini-album. The group is comprised of four members: Julie (23), Natty (21), Belle (19) and Haneul (18).

Prior to their debut, the group has been receiving massive attention from K-pop fans due to members who made their names familiar before their debut.
Natty almost debuted as TWICE and fromis_9 member, who later on debuted as a soloist, while Julie is a popular former YG (THEBLACKLABEL) trainee.
Meanwhile, Belle is a composer-songwriter who was credited for songs by LE SSERAFIM and (G)I-DLE Miyeon.
2. ILY:1
In April 2022, the girl group ILY:1 entered the music scene with their debut album, "LOVE IN BLOOM."
At the time, they received high anticipation as most of the members were former trainees from Mnet's survival show, "Girls Planet 999." After failing to debut as Kep1er, Hana (23), Ara (21), Ririka (21), and Rona (21) were gathered to be in a new girl group, along with Nayu (20) and Elva (20).
3. Queenz Eye
Introduced in October 2022, Queenz Eye is a five-member girl group, comprised of Hannah, Na Rin, Won Chae, Ah Yoon, and Damin. They were originally six members, but Jenna, the youngest (16), left this year.
Thus, the group has no minor members anymore and all remaining members are aged 19 to 23.
4. IRRIS
In July 2022, Justice Record and Mellow Entertainment created a four-member girl group called IRRIS, with their debut album, "Wanna Know."
The team is originally a five-member group REDSQUARE, but after rebranding, only three original members were left, including I.L, Liv, Yunseul, and IRRIS introduced a new member, Nina.
The oldest member of the group is I.L (aged 26), while the youngest is Nina (20).
5. Bunny.T
On June 19, 2023, W2company launched its new girl group Bunny.T with their digital single, "Body Shake."
Eun A is the oldest member being 27, followed by Cheong Eum, Nina (26) and Ji Young (22).
