Citing poor promotion and treatment to EXO, Chinese EXO-Ls (Cherries) expressed their frustration at SM Entertainment through 5 LED protest trucks in front of the agency's building, and demanded better treatment for the group.
Cherries Demand SM Entertainment Better Treatment of EXO
Amid the intensifying criticism of EXO-Ls against SM Entertainment due to the lack of EXO's comeback promotion activities, and alleged mistreatment of the group, Cherries (Chinese Eris) used their power and influence to draw the attention of SM Entertainment.
On July 18, five large LED protest trucks were sent in front of the company's building, demanding the company to treat EXO better.
Following EXO's comeback with their seventh full album, "EXIST," released on July 10, EXO-Ls/Eris have been complaining about how poorly SM Entertainment handled the group's much-awaited comeback as a whole.
Cherries said:
"The 7th full-length album has garnered 870,000 orders in China, and their TikTok's popularity has topped the list of Korean boy groups. Value EXO's Popularity in China! Make a Chinese TikTok account for EXO!"
Last but not least, the fandom emphasized the limited stocks of EXO albums and asked SM to address the problem encountered on YouTube to increase "Cream Soda" views.
"Don't limit the number of albums released! We need more albums, so we need to get the album circulation back on track! Also, Focus on the view data of the title song music video on YouTube!"
As of writing, SM Entertainment is yet to respond to EXO-Ls' demands.
