In an emotional announcement made on MONSTA X's official fan cafe, Kihyun expressed his deep gratitude towards his devoted fan base, Monbebe, and assured them that he would make the most of his time before his departure.

In his heartfelt, handwritten letter, Kihyun shared, "I will be enlisting on August 22. Even if I already talked about it many times and you knew it was coming, I know Monbebe would worry first, but I feel relieved because I feel like I'm completing homework that has been pushed back."
