Former BIGBANG Seungri Spotted in Club 7 Months After Completing His Jail Term

Former BIGBANG Seungri's Recent Status Revealed

The recent status of former BIGBANG Seungri has been revealed.

On September 10, a photo was posted by an eyewitness on an online Korean bulletin board with the message:

"Seungri still goes to the club."

The released photo showed the back of a man believed to be the former male idol. Although the image was vague since his face couldn't be seen, the netizen who posted it claimed that it was a picture of Seungri taken at the club.

Regarding this claim, Seungri has yet to reveal his position.

The reason why this update is such a big deal to netizens and media since there is a growing narrative that "people don't change," evident by the former star.

Apparently, the male idol made netters raise their brows, as it wasn't even a year since he was released from prison in February after he was sentenced to an 18-month jail term in January 2022, but he hung out with friends in a club again.

Seungri's Involvement in Burning Sun Scandal

As a comprehensive summary of the case, Seungri met his downfall after being involved in the 2019 sex & drug scandal that took place in the controversial Burning Sun nightclub in Seoul.

At the time, he's known to serve as an in-house director of the club since 2018. When the news broke, he left BIGBANG and also announced his retirement from the entertainment industry.

In January 2020 then, he was found guilty and indicted on a total of eight charges from doing prostitution mediation to misappropriating funds. He was in a military trial in March 2020 and was convicted of all nine charges by the Supreme Court last year.

After being released from prison, Seungri hasn't appeared much in public but he continued to make headlines for his recent status as reported by eyewitnesses.

In fact, in March, Seungri was embroiled in his third dating rumor with actress-influencer Yoo Hye Won after it was revealed that they had a trip to Bangkok, Thailand together.

It has been recalled that the relationship speculations between the two started in 2018 after the two were seen hugging in front hotel in the Netherlands. The second dating rumor happened in March 2020, when a woman believed to be Hye Won was seen in the backseat of Seungri's car during his military enlistment.

Regardless of these, the two did not affirm or deny the rumors of a romantic relationship. Neither side expressed any position even in the third romance rumor.

In April this year, Grace Tahir, the daughter of Indonesian conglomerate Mayapada Group, drew attention from fans by sharing a video of her trip to Korea with Seungri online. Grace Tahir shared that the former idol talked about the K-pop industry and prison time for about two hours.
