SISTAR Still On Top Of The Charts After 6 Days Despite Stiff Competition

SISTAR made their triumphant comeback on June 11 with the song "Give it to Me" and instantly it shot up to the top of the charts where it has been sitting comfortably for the last six days.

Currently "Give it to Me" is ranked in the number one spot on nine music charts in South Korea including the MelOn and Mnet charts, two of the biggest and most famous indicators of a song's popularity.

Despite four other major comebacks at the same time from idol groups After School and B2ST, pop singer Ivy, and legendary singer Lee Seung Chul, SISTAR remains the clear frontrunner for the best song of the month.

The day after the single's release the four member group posted a comeback showcase on LOEN Entertainment's YouTube channel.

SISTAR performed several songs and had a brief interview (subtitled in English) before debuting the first live show of "Give it to Me."

During the interview the members discussed their latest track saying it is an intense song that talks about loneliness and wanting love.

"Give it to Me" is a strong comeback for the girl group who debuted in 2010, and exhibits a Moulin Rouge concept.

Earlier this year, the group's sub-unit SISTAR19, comprised of members Hyorin and Bora, also gained a lot of attention and critical acclaim for their popular song "Gone Not Around Any Longer."
