However, the most significant shift came in June 2020 when members Woongi, Minsu, and Jerome departed, while Daigo, Renta, and Yeojeong joined the group under the management of WakeOne.

On September 22, in a heartfelt message to fans, Renta expressed his gratitude for the support he received during his time with TO1.

He revealed that after thoughtful discussions with his family, fellow members, and the company, he decided to embark on a different path in life, bringing his journey with TO1 to a close.

He reminisced about his dreams of becoming an idol and the happiness he experienced while pursuing that dream with TO1.

This recent announcement has stirred emotions among TO1's dedicated fanbase, known as TOgethers. Many fans expressed their love for Renta and their sadness at his departure, and they wished him the best on his new journey.

However, what's especially striking about this news is that Renta's departure is not an isolated incident. In fact, it's the latest in a series of member exits from TO1 over the last two years.

TO1, originally known as TOO, was formed through the 2019 survival program "To Be World Klass" and made their official debut in April 2020 with ten members.

Some fans point to the group's challenging start, as they debuted amidst the controversy of the Produce series rigging scandal. This scandal garnered significant media attention, potentially impacting TO1's early trajectory.

Despite their talent and potential, TO1 has not released new music since November 2022, leading fans to wonder about the group's future.

Some fans have criticized WakeOne for perceived inactivity, with a strong desire to see the group return to the music scene.
