Lee Seung Gi's US Tour in Jeopardy— The REAL Reason Behind the Cancellation

In a surprising turn of events, Lee Seung Gi's highly anticipated U.S. concerts took an unexpected twist, leaving fans wondering whether the cancellation was a result of poor ticket sales or venue-related complications.

The artist had successfully concluded concerts in Los Angeles on August 26th and Atlanta on August 30th. However, the New York-New Jersey leg of the tour, scheduled for two days, faced an unfortunate cancellation.

Ticket Sales vs. Venue Troubles: Dueling Perspectives

Speculations quickly arose, pointing fingers at lackluster ticket sales as the primary reason behind the cancellation. Human Made, Lee Seung Gi's agency, promptly responded, refuting these claims by stating that the cancellation was attributed to issues with the local concert venue.

This led to a heated exchange between the involved parties. The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) vehemently denied any responsibility, asserting that Lee Seung Gi's team was unjustly using them as a scapegoat. NJPAC, a renowned concert venue in New Jersey, expressed concerns about their tarnished reputation in the wake of these allegations.

To shed light on the matter further, some messenger conversations between the local concert planning company, Hugh Ent, and Human Made were made public. In these messages, Jang, the CEO of Human Made, suggested not mentioning low ticket sales as the cancellation reason for the New Jersey concert.

Hugh Ent, in response, raised concerns that focusing on geographical issues might weaken the justification for the cancellation and lead to negative reactions from New York fans.

Despite the ongoing debate, Jang, the CEO, continued to assert that the New York-New Jersey concert's cancellation was due to problems with the local concert venue.

However, according to Hugh Ent, at the time of this conversation, ticket sales for these concerts were far from promising, with only 250 tickets sold, a considerable distance from the break-even point of 1,704 tickets.

Interestingly, it came to light that Human Made had also contemplated canceling the Atlanta concert, not just the New York-New Jersey shows.

Despite the financial losses incurred-approximately $110,000 due to the cancellation of the Atlanta concert, Hugh Ent opted to proceed with it for Lee Seung Gi's sake. As of now, Lee Seung Gi's side has remained silent regarding this matter, leaving fans and the public eager for further clarification.

Meanwhile,Lee Seung Gi's label, HUMANMADE, has issued a response to the recent controversy surrounding the artist's missed appearance in Atlanta during his concert.
