SHINee's Key, a seasoned veteran in the K-Pop scene and a long-standing member of SM Entertainment since his debut in 2008 with "Replay," has evolved into a successful solo artist.

Throughout the years, SM Entertainment has seen the rise of several boy groups, including EXO, NCT, and RIIZE, who debuted after him.

A Heartwarming Connection

In a recent interview conducted with GOT7's BamBam, Key was posed with a question about his favorite "dongsaeng," referring to the younger celebrities he holds a special bond with and looks after fondly.

When asked to name his top three celebrity dongsaengs, Key's response was unexpected. Despite his close relationship with BamBam, he chose Renjun, a member of NCT DREAM, as his first pick. This revelation left BamBam surprised, as he exclaimed, "Oh, I didn't expect that."

Key's reasoning for selecting Renjun was genuinely heartwarming. He explained that within SM Entertainment, there were few artists whose personalities resembled his own.

Key expressed that before there were artists like him, who embodied his unique style, SM Entertainment didn't have idols of that type. This revelation led Key to reflect on his own past, saying, "He made me think about myself in the past."

Renjun, known for his quick-wit, confidence, friendliness, and intelligence, shares several characteristics with his SHINee senior.

It's these similarities that have forged a strong connection between them, prompting Key to watch over Renjun with great care. In Key's words, "I really take care of Renjun a lot."

Following Renjun, Key also named actor Seo Bum June and WayV member Ten as his next favorites due to their sweet and amiable personalities.
