Kwon Eunbi Crowned As #1 Idol Who Did Better as Soloists Than in Group
On October 2, the community portal site DC Inside, led by CEO Kim Yoosik announced the result of its weekly voting.
The poll which was posted from September 25 to October 1 aimed to select the No. 1 idol who "worked out better after solo activities than as an idol group member."

As a result, Kwon Eunbi won first place with 18% of the votes. Initially, she debuted in two groups, Y-ea (2014) and IZ*ONE (2019), but their reign would end soon due to disbandment.
Kwon was earning decent popularity after she debuted as a soloist, but she suddenly experienced immense popularity after her appearance at the music festival, "Water Bomb," in June became a hot topic.
Since then, she gained the modifiers, "Water Bomb Goddess" and "Performance Queen," after various festivals invited her to come and perform at their university's events.
She also became a frequent guest for entertainment and radio broadcasts, not to mention the rise of her CF model career.
Recently, Kwon Eunbi has released her single album, "The Flash" and has continued her activities for the second anniversary of her solo debut.
24 Idols Who Gained More Popularity as Soloists
In the survey, Bae Suzy ranked second place after losing to Eunbi with just 31 points. The female idol started as the maknae of Miss A launched by JYP Entertainment and earned the spotlight with hits such as, "Bad Girl, Good Girl," "Hush" and more.
After earning rave reviews for her acting in "Dream High," and "Architecture 101," where she earned the nickname, "Nation's First Love," Suzy decided to focus on her acting career.
In October, she will be starring in a Netflix Original series called, "Doona!" and it is earning much attention prior to its premiere.
In third place, Kim Sejeong sat in the rankings with 9% of the votes. The female idol-turned-actress was a former member of the group I.O.I and Gugudan.
At the time, the group had gained a lot of popularity even before their debut and fans easily fell in love with her easy-going personality and outstanding singing skills shown in the Mnet audition program, "Produce 101."
Kim Sejeong, who showed a sense of entertainment in various entertainment programs, recently expanded her area of activities and drew attention by drawing in the hit dramas, "Uncanny Counter 1 &2" and "Business Proposal."
