On the day of Taeil's accident (August 15), SM Entertainment followed up an official statement to address the situation. Read their full statement here:

"Greetings.

We would like to inform you of NCT member Taeil's current status and upcoming schedule. On the morning of August 15, Taeil was involved in a motorcycle accident on his way home after finishing a schedule. Afterwards, he was sent to the hospital for examination and recovery.

Taeil was diagnosed with a fracture in his right thigh after a thorough analysis. At the moment, Taeil is in stable condition and is taking his time recovering with the hospital's required treatment ahead of his surgery.

Consequentially, Taeil will halt his activities in the meantime and focus on his treatment. He will not participate in NCT's group concert "NCT Nation: To The World" on August 26. We kindly ask for your understanding.

We apologize for bringing this sudden news. The agency will prioritize Taeil's recovery, and we will do our best so he can return to fans in good health.

Thank you."
