SEVENTEEN Mingyu to Sit Out Activities Due to Health Concerns, PLEDIS Releases Statement

On October 26, SEVENTEEN's agency PLEDIS Entertainment officially announced that member Mingyu would be sitting out some of his activities due to health issues.

Since SEVENTEEN made their comeback on October 23, with 11th mini album "Seventeenth Heaven" and "God of Music," the group has been active in their promotions. However, due to Mingyu's sudden health incident, he will be unable to participate in numerous schedules.

Here's the full statement below:

"Hello. This is PLEDIS Entertainment.

We would like to inform you about the health condition of SEVENTEEN member Mingyu and how it will influence his future schedules.

On October 26, Thursday, Mingyu experienced a sudden, crippling lower back pain that immediately required medical treatment. After his examination, he was advised to take some time off and monitor his recovery process.

Despite the artist's willingness to participate in the promotions for SEVENTEEN's newest album, the agency concluded his health must be prioritized above all else and that flexibility will be applied in his schedule throughout the promotional period.

As a result, we regretfully inform you that Mingyu will not be able to participate in the activities scheduled for this week due to the reasons stated above. This includes their music shows and fansign event. We express our sincerest apologies and ask for your kind understanding.

We will do our best to help Mingyu recover to return in good health and meet his fans as soon as possible. To ensure his health and safety, he will receive our utmost effort. We will update on Mingyu's resumption of his activities in another date.

Thank you."

Get well soon, Mingyu!
