NCT Mark found himself at the center of an amusing online moment when he shared his experience of being "declined" by K-Pop sensation Jessi not once but twice during a recent Instagram Live session.
The incident occurred as Mark and his fellow NCT member Johnny participated in Jessi's "GUM" challenge on TikTok, which quickly escalated into pure hilarity.
Unexpected Twist: Jessi "Declines" Mark's Invitation
On November 7, Mark went live on Instagram to discuss their TikTok challenge collaboration with Jessi. The collaboration appeared to be a fun-filled and memorable experience, as Mark explained, "We shot two videos for 2 hours almost.
But like it took us 30 minutes to shoot the video, and then for 1 hour and 30 minutes, we were just talking about life and stuff. I think you know, we really kinda emotionally connected with Jessi, me and Johnny."
During the Instagram Live broadcast, Mark noticed that Jessi herself was tuned in and watching. He extended an invitation for her to join him on the live stream, presumably to continue their lively interaction. However, what followed was a series of hilarious interactions that left Mark and viewers in stitches.
In a comical turn of events, Jessi declined Mark's invitation, citing a backache as her reason for not joining. Not one to give up easily, Mark humorously suggested she could participate using just her voice, making it an audio-only appearance.
This playful banter continued as Mark gave Jessi another opportunity to join the broadcast, which she declined once again.
Mark's sense of humor shone through as he responded by playfully giving Jessi a thumbs-down for her second refusal. The amusement reached new heights when Jessi, perhaps unintentionally, accepted Mark's invitation only to abruptly end her appearance just seconds later.
This unexpected twist left Mark laughing heartily until he realized Jessi had left, prompting him to ask, "What are you doing?"
"We shot two videos for 2 hours almost. But like it took us 30 minutes to shoot the video and then for 1 hour 30 minutes we were just talking about life and stuff. I think you know, we really kinda emotionally connected with Jessi, me and Johnny."
The lighthearted incident showcased the fun and camaraderie shared among K-Pop artists and their interactions with fans on social media platforms. While Mark may have been "declined" by Jessi twice during the Instagram Live session, the entertaining episode certainly provided a good laugh for both NCT fans and K-Pop enthusiasts worldwide.
