Yeji, the leader of ITZY, revealed how it would be different if she actually debuted as the youngest member.
Yeji Reveals Difference If She Was ITZY's Maknae
In an interview with Cosmopolitan Korea posted on December 6, ITZY Yeji answered various questions regarding her idol life.
Yeji particularly drew attention to her reply when asked how would it differentiate if she actually debuted as the group's maknae (youngest member).

Being the oldest, Yeji was chosen to become the leader who would guide her younger members; thus, she didn't experience being spoiled.
If the situation was reversed, Yeji replied:
"If I were the youngest, I would have had a lot of aegyo (cute acts/cuteness). I used to think that I don't have aegyo, but when I monitor it (myself), I see that I have aegyo. So I think that if I were the youngest, I would have been able to act cute more comfortably.
I think I would use more verbal language or show a tone of irritability and say, 'Unnie, buy me this.' Wouldn't that be the case?"
On the flip side, when asked what kind of senior idol she want to become, she chose being a popular one who buys her juniors meal rather than an unapproachable one who is packed with "know-hows."
She explained:
"It's just my personal opinion, but I think I am the type of person who is very cool and good at buying things.
Well, when paying at a convenience store or something like that, there are many cases where we just pay together, and these days, we order delivery a lot, but since it's a pre-payment system, we order the menu together and pay with mine, and I think there are cases like this quite often.”
Yeji Reveals Life If She Didn't Debut as ITZY
In the same interview, the "LOCO" singer also confessed her prospective life if she didn't debut as ITZY. Regarding this, Yeji said:
"Actually, I didn't think much about it, but if it's because I like dancing so much then I think I might have majored in it. Or if I go back to the beginning, I want to try various things."
Lastly, when asked what would she do if she was given a month off with MIDZY (fandom), Yeji visualized a perfect vacation, saying:
"There are so many places I haven't been to yet. I often went to perform on stage or at concerts, but I rarely came back to enjoy it. Jeju Island is so nice even if it's not overseas. I think it would be nice to be able to go somewhere close, but it would also be nice to go to places like Hawaii or Cebu, which are vacation spots.
Or while looking at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, it would be nice to spread out a mat and sit together with MIDZYs and enjoy the 8 o'clock show."
