Seungri's Legal Troubles: From Altercations to Celebration in Bangkok

The saga of Seungri's legal troubles also encompassed physical altercations, with an incident at a bar in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where an argument escalated, leading him to report the matter to Yoo In-seok, the husband of actress Park Han-byeol and former CEO of Yuri Holdings.

Subsequently, gangsters were reportedly mobilized to intimidate the other party involved. A total of nine criminal acts, including being a co-principal offender in a special assault case, were listed in his sentence.

Having evaded military service and undergone a thorough legal investigation, Seungri spent time in pretrial detention in a military prison before being transferred to a private prison.

In August 2021, the Supreme Court confirmed his punishment, leading to his release in February 2023, after serving 1 year and 6 months behind bars.
