In the Korean entertainment scene, the media outlet Dispatch is infamous for exposing celebrities' dating, which is often revealed on the 1st of January every year.

Although fans feel upset about them invading people's privacy, it has somehow became a tradition to wait for the revelation every New Year.

Earlier on December 20, a rumor on various online communities circulated among fans regarding Dispatch's New Year's couple.

Speculations arose that it would be comprised of a male idol from the second-generation era, while the female idol would be from the current fourth-gen K-pop.

Although the names are yet to be revealed, there are hints that the male star would be an idol who used to be popular before but is now working as a full-fledged actor.

As for the female celeb, she would be one of the current hottest members from a famous fourth-gen K-pop group.

While K-pop fandoms immediately raised concerns and guesses about who will be the new holiday couple, there is a RANDOM claim that is receiving massive reactions from both fans and internet users.

On Twitter, one internet user called @/Douchebatch sparked the speculation after claiming that aespa Giselle and Park Hyung Sik were the couple behind the "blind item."

In a now-deleted tweet, the account explained that both stars were caught coming to the movie premiere of "Believer 2" in November, starring Han Hyo Joo and Oh Seung Hoon.

The op justified that it was the same pattern as BLACKPINK Jisoo and Ahn Bo Hyun as well as Dohyun and Jiyeon, who attended movie premieres before their dating news came out.

Looking at their status, it also coincided with the hints since Giselle is a popular fourth-gen idol, while Park Hyung Sik is a member of ZE:A, a legendary second-gen group, and is now a top actor.

As soon as this rumor spread among netters, MYs, and the fandom of aespa were quick to debunk the claims, stating that it was groundless.

Both idols haven't had any memorable interaction and connection with each other before, stating that it was super far-fetched and the op just wants to mislead people.

On the flip side, numerous web commenters are seriously shocked but convey their support to them if the rumor turns out to be reality.
