THESE 2 Popular Girl Groups Excluded at 2023 SBS Gayo Daejeon by K-pop Stans: 'Why are they here?'

K-pop stans and Korean netizens are pondering the attendance of THESE two popular girl groups, alongside many artists.

Here's what happened.

Netizens chimed in, insisting NiziU to stop attending special occasions and only focus on their activities in Japan. They also brought up fromis_9's vote rigging controversy in 2020, when allegations were made against the survival program "Idol School."

Read their comments below:

  • "NiziU, f**k, can they please stop appearing on award shows? Just do it in Japan."
  • "fromis_9 is rigged, why are they here? They really have no shame."
  • "Fans of fromis_9 should just stay quiet because they debuted a rigged group. They keep hating on boy groups every day while alienating girl groups and are all sorts of hateful things."

Aside from NiziU and fromis_9, netizens also dragged in several other groups such as &TEAM, TVXQ, CRAVITY, xikers, and n.SSIgn.

  • "&TEAM joining was even more weird."
  • "But doesn't this apply to TVXQ the most? I'm embarrassed at how Yunho pretends to be cool. Can we leave a place for the hoobaes now? It's not like had that many fans either."
  • "The way &TEAM was included in the rookies collab stage and xikers weren't. I'm sorry but what did &TEAM even do this year."
  • "xikers is there because of ATEEZ, and I'm sure CRAVITY got in because of IVE lol."
  • "Me with CRAVITY. These flops are getting way too many opportunities thanks to IVE."
  • "Nah, what was n.SSign even doing there?"

In other news, NiziU performed "Lucky Star" and their first-ever Korean single "HEARTRIS." The event was also graced by fromis_9's amazing stage of "Attitude."
