In a recent vlog posted on IU's official YouTube channel titled 'Behind the scenes of IU's first commercial (I went ahead but ended up...),' the singer delved into the behind-the-scenes stories of filming a music video with BTS V for her upcoming release, "Now Now."

As IU shared her New Year's plans and current status during makeup at the commercial shoot, she hinted at a packed schedule involving her drama shoot across Nonsan, Seoul, Ansan, and Incheon following the commercial.

Addressing her overseas schedule, IU's manager disclosed limited days in Korea for January, hinting at potential final work overseas to capture IU's new appearance and image.

Despite her departure from Korea in 2024, IU expressed both excitement and concern, stating, "I like Korea, but I'm leaving to do something really fun."

After watching the edited version of the new song's music video, IU praised director Uhm Tae-hwa, expressing satisfaction with the unique tone and mood that distinguishes it from her previous works.

The revelation took an unexpected turn when IU's manager shared an anecdote about her attempting to run away during the music video shoot. IU, visibly surprised, responded, "Why are you talking about something like that?" The confession unfolded as IU admitted, "Actually, I was trying to run away, but there was a hole in the wheel of the car. What's really funny is that V's car got a hole first."

She added, "So we tried to run away, but our car also had a hole in it. I think they planted glass pieces or something like that around the filming set to prevent us from running away."

Meanwhile, IU's agency, EDAM Entertainment, confirmed that director Eom Tae-hwa of the movie 'Concrete Utopia' directed the music video, which features BTS's V. The agency hinted at a new album in preparation for the first half of the year.
