Choreographer Rozalin Names SHINee Taemin as Top Dancer — Here's Why

On this day, choreographer Rozalin was asked who her top dancer pick and although she acknowledged that many artists dance well, she specifically named one, which is none other than SHINee Taemin!

Regarding why she chose the K-pop icon, Rozalin explained:

"Well, the artist that I've recently connected with and noticed is SHINee Taemin. Artists need to consider many important things other than dance, such as singing, gestures & facial expressions.

I think the one who mastered all those aspects is Taemin. I really enjoy watching his amazing performances."

During Mnet's "Street Woman Fighter" Season 1, Rozalin closely worked with Lee Chaeyeon under the same dance crew, WANT in 2021. When the latter then released her first EP, "Over the Moon," Rozalin worked with her to create the dance for its title track, "KNOCK" in April.

At the time, Chaeyeon went viral for her dance prowess and smooth dance steps.

Regarding Winter, Rozalin was one of the people behind the viral movements in aespa's "Next Level" and "Savage." She explained why she chose her, saying:

"Even though I didn't teach Winter directly, she did her best to express it the way I wanted. Her hard practice makes it turn out very beautifully."

When the interview delved deeper into Winter performing well, Rozalin added:

"Yes, I was also fascinated by that."

Meanwhile, during the interview, Rozalin also mentioned VIVIZ's "Bop Bop" as the choreography that she created the fastest, while Red Velvet's "Milk Shake" was the one that took the longest.

She explained:

"It was created for their concert. It was my first time creating a choreography for the artist. So I felt a lot of pressure and it was challenging to finalize. I believe that's why the one for Red Velvet took the longest to create."
