ALLH(O)URS Title Themselves, 'Cousins of Stray Kids' — Here's Why

On January 10, EDEN Entertainment's latest rookie boy group, ALLH(O)URS, held their debut showcase. The group celebrates the release of their first mini album, "ALL OURS."

During their debut showcase, ALLH(O)URS explained why they call themselves "cousin group of Stray Kids." The members revealed the nickname came about because Eden Entertainment's CEO, Jo Hae Sung, was the former vice chief director of JYP Entertainment. During his time with the company, he oversaw the launch of several groups, namely 2PM, TWICE, Stray Kids, and ITZY.

Hyunbin expressed his fondness for the nickname, saying, "I am so happy that we are able to have that nickname thanks to our chief director. I began dreaming of becoming an idol while watching Hyunjin sunbaenim of Stray Kids, so it felt special. Also, I feel like this nickname motivates me to work harder."

It seems having that title is not that far-fetched! During their showcase, JYP Entertainment's head producer, J.Y. Park (also known as Park Jinyoung) sent the group a congratulatory message for their debut. During his message, he called ALLH(O)URS "JYP Entertainment's official nephews."

He told the group, "To our boys ALLH(O)URS, JYP Entertainment's official nephews, congratulations on your debut! I watched these boy grow ever since they were trainees, when the debut team was not yet confirmed. I spent a lot of time talking to them while they prepared for their debut."

J.Y. Park then talks about how produce he is of the members, saying, "I am filled with immense pride seeing you boys finally making your debut. I am certain that you will continue to grow until people all over the world come to learn of your unique charms."
