TWICE's Special Guests for 'RTB' Concerts Draw Mixed Reactions: 'JYPE is milking off their success'

TWICE's special guests for their upcoming "READY TO BE" concerts are receiving mixed reactions from netizens. However, ONCEs also backed up the opening act.

Here's what happened.

VCHA to Perform as Opening Act in TWICE's 'READY TO BE' Concerts, Netizens Draw Mixed Reactions Towards Global Girl Group

On January 17, VCHA officially announced on X (Twitter) that they will be performing as the opening act on TWICE's "READY TO BE" concerts in Mexico City (February 2 & 3), Brazil (February 6 & 7), and Las Vegas (March 16).

TWICE's "READY TO BE" world tour is coming to an end and many ONCEs have anticipated the ultimate encore of the group. While many were excited for the group's upcoming shows, a sufficient portion of the community was bothered by JYP Entertainment's decision to choose VCHA as TWICE's opening act.

This was because the group was still new to the industry and even led to the point where ONCEs accused JYPE of milking off TWICE's success.

Others claimed that including ITZY or NMIXX would've made more sense since both groups have already carved themselves into the industry when it comes to exposure.

However, some ONCEs defended VCHA from the negative remarks by offering them supportive words, while expressing that they would also do a great job as the opening act. They added how TWICE would surely be proud and happy to see their juniors perform with them in their concerts.

Here's how they reacted:

VCHA was formed on the reality survival show "A2K," which was a collaboration between JYP Entertainment and Republic Records. The group is composed of members Camila, Lexi, Kendall, Savanna, KG, and Kaylee.

In their pre-debut days, VCHA released their first English pre-debut digital single "SeVit (New Light)," alongside its title track "Y.O.Universe."

On December 1, the group dropped their second English pre-debut digital single "Ready for the World."

This 2024, VCHA would finally be making their official debut on January 26, with their single "Girls of the Year."
