One of the biggest sensations from 2012, Ailee is coming back to K-pop after a 9-month hiatus.

Ailee is currently scheduled to make her comeback around mid-July. If last year was focused on showing off her colors as a singer by performing slow, powerful songs with a wide range of notes, this year's Ailee will add more of a stage performance element.

Most likely, she will implement team choreography on top of her spectacular live performance that is second to none. For K-pop fans, that is exciting news.

Considering that Ailee's success in 2012 came from scratch as a rookie, she has a much easier task of getting her music out and about since she has become a high-demand artist that is rare to find. Earlier this year, Ailee featured in two songs, Baechigi's "Tear Shower" and Geeks' "Wash Away." Not to take away from the brilliance of the respective artists, Ailee's featuring undeniably helped the songs on their rise to number one spots in various music charts.

There has been a hot streak of success among solo female artists, from CL to Lee Hyori and Ivy. Although it remains to be seen whether Ailee will add her name to the list, given her talents, she is well on her way to perhaps making her biggest hit thus far this summer.
