A photo that allegedly shows aespa member Giselle and TREASURE member Jihoon has begun circulating online.

On January 19, an anonymous account took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a photo of a couple kissing. The user alleges that the couple in question are the two idols, captioning the post, "Giselle, Jihoon, what are you two doing?"

The post was accompanied by several hashtags related to the two idols', including their respective groups.

Soon after the tweet was posted, the post went viral. The tweet quickly garnered over 2.1 million views.

Looking at the image, there are several indications that the photo was taken secretly, without the knowledge of the couple in the photo. The photo is similar to how outlets such as Dispatch reveal celebrity couples. It is speculated the photo was taken by a stalker fan, also known as "sasaeng," due to the "ssng" in the poster's user name.

Dating Rumors Between aespa Giselle & TREASURE Jihoon Shut Down

Amid the noise over the photo, fans of both Giselle and Jihoon were quick to shut down the rumors. Soon after the post went viral, many uncovered that the photo was actually from the popular K-drama "My Love From the Star."

The photo is a screenshot from episode 19. Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun's characters confess their love for each other despite their differences and share a tender kiss. The kiss is shown from different angles, including one from above and at a distance.

This is the angle used in the fake image of Giselle and Jihoon.

With that, the two are not dating. Their agencies, SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment, have not commented on the matter.
