ITZY Ryujin Sparks Concern Following Latest Fan Sign Appearance

On January 21, 2024, ITZY held another fan sign for their comeback. Like usual, fans took several photos of the members and shared them online.
However, a photo of Ryujin has been drawing concern from fans.
The photo shows Ryujin with her back against the audience. With her hair tied in a braided bun, internet users were quick to spot a large lump behind her ear. It did not seem to bother the idol at all, and she interacted with fans like normal.
However, it was very noticeable. People were quick to discover that it was a keloid. A keloid is a scar that keeps growing and becomes bigger than the original wound. It happens when someone has too much collagen in their skin. It can also occur if you injure or damage your body with surgery, cuts, burns, acne, or piercings.
It is not dangerous to one's health and is generally painless. In fact, it is extremely common for those with piercings. Many believe Ryujin got her keloid because of a past piercing.
Though it does not harm one's health, people still cannot help but worry. Many feared that the idol was uncomfortable by the large keloid. Others are worried that it may cause infection if it continues to grow.
Keloid removal is quick and easy. Many hope she gets it removed, as the longer it remains, the higher the risk of it getting bigger. Many hope Ryujin will take time out of her busy schedule and choose to get rid of the keloid. In turn, they hope all the ITZY members will take care of themselves.
