MIDZYs Trend 'Half Decade with Lia' Amid ITZY Member's Indefinite Hiatus

On January 29, MIDZYs assembled on X (Twitter) to send out heartfelt posts which celebrated Lia's five years with the group.

Although ITZY members were originally introduced on January 20, 2019, with a prologue film, and officially debuted on February 12, 2019, with "DALLA DALLA," MIDZYs referred to the date January 28, 2019, when Lia's teaser images for debut single album "IT'z Different" was released.

Fans had nothing to express but love and care for ITZY's main vocalist. This celebration was further amplified by MIDZYs, who trended "HALF DECADE WITH LIA" on X, and conveyed how much they miss her since her indefinite hiatus in September 2023.

Moreover, fans also declared how proud they were of Lia for coming this far and for putting herself first.

ITZY Lia Undergoes Indefinite Hiatus Due to Health Concerns

JYP Entertainment officially announced Lia's hiatus on September 18, 2023. This was trailed by a follow-up announcement on November 17, when the agency shared that Lia would be unable to join ITZY in their future schedules due to anxiety disorder.

This hiatus led Lia to be absent in ITZY's "BORN TO BE" promotions, as well as their upcoming world tour. Regarding Lia's resumption of activities, JYP Entertainment revealed that such information will be disclosed once discussed with the idol and the members.

Lia has also addressed her situation through a handwritten letter and assured MIDZYs of her recovery. To make up for her sudden absence, Lia also posted her solo track "Blossom," which is also a B-side track on ITZY's "BORN TO BE" album.
