RIIZE has once again experienced a horrifying mob encounter at the airport, sparking heated reactions from the BRIIZE fandom.
Here's how people reacted to the chaos.
RIIZE Experiences Horrifying Airport Mob Once More, BRIIZEs Call Out Crowd, SM Entertainment Due to Safety Risks
On January 29, BRIIZEs and the K-pop community were alarmed with RIIZE's newest incident at the Gimpo International Airport.
According to numerous clips shared online, a crowd ensued upon the boy group's presence, resulting in a dangerous happenstance.
Videos also featured RIIZE's security guards doing the best they could to meddle and protect the boys from jeopardy. Safety concerns were also mentioned, as fans pointed out the chaotic situation that caused several people to get shoved or tripped.
god this is scary and thinking about how my riize deals with shit people like this almost every time they step foot outside the airport likeee if i was an idol i’d literally quit my job pic.twitter.com/WdDaRySaFt
In a separate clip, it showed how the crowd surrounded the group outside the airport. RIIZE Sungchan was also seen hurrying to the car due to the screaming fans and the intense mobbing.
Meanwhile, members Shotaro and Sohee also got separated from the group because of the crowd's disorder.
the other riize members got to the car safely, and seems like shotaro and sohee got separated from the rest, and shotaro got pushed and mobbed , sm previously released a statement for fans to not be at airports,
This is really alarming Shotaro almost fell!! Why it needs to happen almost every time at the airport? These people don't know respect and boundaries. #RIIZE#라이즈
Fans then remarked that despite SM's official statement, goers would still continue to violate the members' boundaries. They also commented that action should be taken by improving RIIZE's security enforcement.
Some expressed annoyance over the situation since RIIZE should be able to live the moment whenever they go to the airport to travel instead of feeling anxious every time they depart.
📢 ATTENTION BRIIZES: Report to KWANGYA 119
Today (240129) RIIZE has been mobbed at the airport yet again. We decided to once again report this situation to SM Entertainment demanding for extra measures on RIIZE's future airport security. We ask everyone to report this in… pic.twitter.com/mJCER5jPA6
If you simply release the warning letter without taking action, RIIZE will still be mobbed at the airport, and their privacy will continue to be violated. SM, you can't even protect a member of the group whose privacy is being violated, how will you protect the other six members?
+ the amount that these boys have worked since they’ve been announced as a group is exhausting by itself i cant imagine how they feel when they literally get mobbed everywhere they go like,, they need a break i stg
what pisses me off is that riize should be happy to go to the airport and travel to continue to grow their future and make more memories, they should NOT feel dreaded & anxiety each time bc of stupid people who act a fool and shove cameras in their face like be so serious rn
god please take away all the pain and suffering riize go through, triple it and give it to these people waiting for them at the airport https://t.co/ofp4OQBOr4
Others expressed shock on how the incident made headlines on Korean media since several news outlets reported the horde and described it as an "airport paralysis."
“riize, airport paralysis, excessive deokjil (fangirling/stanning)" “airport paralysis.. riize, entering country with hordes of people (인산인해, literally means that many people gather and form a mountain and sea)"
“the airport is paralyzed…RIIZE, the entryway is crowded”
“today, large number of fans flocked the airport blocking the route or getting close to the members in an unruly manner, causing a dangerous situation.” – dispatch
In other news, RIIZE was also mobbed back in October 2023, at the same airport. The incident trended in an online community, where netizens discussed the clips showing the surge of people inside the airport causing a disturbance.
The mayhem also led youngest member Anton to be pushed, causing netters to call out the unruliness of the fans and even the safety of the group's bodyguards.
nth time of riize getting mobbed at the airport 😢 please give them some space !! :( pic.twitter.com/Edr4tk50vD
On a separate occasion at the Incheon International Airport, fans were seen taking their cameras out and extending their reach just to get a snap or video of the walking members.
anton having to stop him omg....... everything about this is just terrible .... the guard getting violent and the fans just still pushing like omfggggg https://t.co/8XJ8bCvI9P
