As the current top 4th-gen K-pop group, NewJeans has been drawing attention to how much they are earning now, just two years after its debut.
While rookie K-pop groups usually have to wait for years and even a decade for their label to break even and see a profit, HYBE/ADOR's girl group NewJeans unusually did this in two months, less than a year.
How much did NewJeans earn in 2023?

Although HYBE's sales revenue report for 2023 wasn't disclosed, the K-media outlet Sports Chosun predicted the total earnings of NewJeans last year, based on HYBE's past financial reports.
According to ADOR's 2022 financial statements, NewJeans posted about 18.6 billion won ($13.96 million) in sales from albums, various broadcast appearances, performances, and advertisements, just five months since its debut.
Based on its 1st quarter report, ADOR's semi-annual sales amounted to 44 billion won ($33.02M). After the net profit and loss, NewJeans profited 11.5 billion won ($8.63M).

Considering that NewJeans recorded more than 4 million album sales through its albums, "NewJeans" and "Get Up" by the second half of the year, it is estimated that its profit will be at least four times more than what they have in 2022.
This is also considering the expansion of its scope of activities through solo performances at home and overseas.
How Did NewJeans Acquire High Profit in Just 2 Years + Rewards to Members
Upon its debut in 2022, NewJeans made all of its triple title songs including "Attention," "Hype Boy" and "Cookie" a global hit, succeeding to break even two months after its debut with only music and album sales.
In 2023, their popularity continued with consecutive hits, such as "Ditto," "Super Shy," "ETA" and "Cool With You." As of Jan. 2024, they sold 4 million album copies in South Korea.
Thanks to its popularity, the company is actively engaged in various advertisements and luxury ambassador activities.
With this, CEO Min Hee Jin is not only compensating NewJeans with their income but also spoiling them with gifts and rewards.
Earlier, Danielle revealed that the quintet moved to a new accommodation in a luxury hotel near Han River that is spacious enough for people to mistake it for a living room.
Accordingly, the members are not sharing rooms but are given their respective rooms, which is a truly premium treatment for a rookie who debuted less than two years ago.
