After being criticized by the K-pop community, Hyolyn has apologized for her controversial clip which involves the singer saying the N-word.

Earlier on February 15, Hyolyn faced backlash among fans and netizens for rapping the N-word during a portion of Doja Cat's "Say So."
This took place during Hyolyn's vacation with GANi, who accompanied her in the video. The "NO MORE (MA BOY)" singer uploaded numerous photos on her Instagram, as well as Stories. However, one Instagram Story caught flak among netters due to Hyolyn's use of the N-word.
Though the original video has now been deleted, netizens managed to lay a grasp on the clip, leading to its spread across social media.

On February 16, Hyolyn made a post on her X account and addressed the controversy that transpired. The artist recalled singing the part where she was criticized and conveyed her sincerest apologies to everyone who was hurt by her actions.
Hyolyn then assured she loved all her fans and expressed gratitude to those who reminded her of accountability. Furthermore, Hyolyn assured everyone to improve as a person and learn more about other cultures. Read her full statement below:
"Hello, everyone. This is HYOLYN.
Yesterday, while singing along to a song that was playing in the background, I carelessly uttered a charged word with significant cultural and historical implications. I am deeply regretful and heartbroken to have hurt so many of you by my ignorance. I am sincerely sorry.
Please know that I love you all very much and I thank you for keeping me accountable for my actions. I hope you'll be there in my journey to educate myself more on cultures beyond my own, and grow not only as an artist, but as a person as well.
Thank you again for your love and support."
