After creating various hits as a member of a popular girl group, THIS 3rd-gen idol confessed that she worked as a factory worker after the team abruptly disbanded.
Earlier on Weibo, China's largest social media platform, former Lovelyz Seo Ji Soo climbed up the No.1 spot on its entertainment chart after revealing her recent status.
Chinese netizens particularly commended the K-pop idol for working hard even after her girl group unfortunately disbanded.
Seo Ji Soo Becomes Factory Worker After Lovelyz Disbanded
In the Chinese online community, netizens showed interest in Seo Ji Soo's stories, who have tried various works after Lovelyz parted ways.
Aside from being an actress and a game streamer, Ji Soo surprised fans after confessing that she also worked as a factory worker and clothing saleslady.
In particular, she drew massive attention after her photo working in what seemed to be a warehouse circulated online.
Contrary to her fancy and glamorous life as an idol, Jisoo saddened fans as she lost her past image, wearing a black jacket with a mask and gloves. She isn't wearing any makeup and her well-maintained hair was also messily tied in a ponytail.
Fans pointed out that given the lack of large equipment and the simple background, it seems like Ji Soo is working in a small factory. Due to this, they are upset about what kind of life she could have had if her agency only promoted Lovelyz properly.
During their heyday, they made waves for their hits including, "Ah-Choo," "Destiny" and "Obliviate."
Seeing this photo, her fans pitied her, but Ji Soo's strong and positive mindset was commended when she said :
"I think being an artist is the same as other professions. You don't have to worry about anything or make up your mind. Of course, I know what it means. I also made the decision after careful consideration.
This is my life, how could it be that simple? Hey, if I fail, I can do other things. Compared to me who does nothing, I prefer working in factories and selling clothes in pop-up shops. I want to challenge many things and never take my determination lightly, even though it will be very difficult.
Although it's tiring and painful, it's still the same (me) no matter what!"
Seo Ji Soo Starts Career as Game Streamer
Despite working outside the music scene, the idol's passion for appearing in front of the camera didn't vanish, as she's starting a different career of being an entertainer.
On AfreeTV, a popular streaming platform, Seo Ji Soo launched her channel, Ddeojisoo, where she started to stream herself playing games that she personally likes.
In just four hours, she earned about $2.3k (3.1M KRW). For a new streamer, this is truly a large sum of money to earn, not to mention that it was only her first day.
When fans asked her if she would continue doing it, Seo Ji Soo confessed her concerns and replied that she would still think about it and decide later.
Meanwhile, Ji Soo who announced that she would transition as an actress after Lovelyz parted ways explained during the stream that she struggled to pursue her acting career due to changes in trends, etc., leading her to try various kinds of works instead.
