In a broadcast, Oh My Girl YooA confessed that she doesn't act because her is agency against it. But what could be their reason?
The female idol appeared on the YouTube channel, "No Back Tak Jae Hoon." There, she exposed various encounters with her label, WM Entertainment, such as what the agency prohibits her from doing and what makes her disappointed with them.
YooA Reveals Reason She's 'Upset' With Her Stage Name
During the program, the "Dolphin" singer caught viewers' attention as she unveiled her honest side. She drew interest by revealing various stories involving her agency, WM Entertainment.
YooA debuted in 2015 as a member of the 3rd-gen girl group Oh My Girl.
In the past broadcast, she confessed that although she wanted to promote using her real name Yoo Si Ah, she was forced to use a stage name to avoid backlash from JYJ Junsu's fans, wherein the K-pop icon is also known as Xia at the time.

As a result, the company chose YooA as her stage name by removing the "Si" in her full name. Despite this, the star complained about the thing that made her upset about her stage name.
"I can't beat yooa. It's disappointing because when you search on the internet the first result would be 'yooa' (Korean of "infant," "baby"). The company named me like this."
Oh My Girl YooA Confesses WM Is Against Her Acting, Going to Variety Shows
In the same broadcast, once again talked about how her agency interfered with her decisions, especially with her acting path.
YooA narrated:
"When I was young, I wrote 'singer' as my future dream. But it changed when I was in my middle and high school. I actually want to try acting. However, my company is against the idea of me acting. They say, 'You can still be a singer longer. Be more of a singer."
Regardless of this, her desire to act isn't completely out of her plans, revealing that she would want to play a role with a rude character.
With her fun yet genuine personality that suits the entertainment industry, Tak Jae Hoon suggested to her that she would be good at variety shows.
However, YooA made the studio laugh when she revealed that it might not happen since WM Entertainment wouldn't let her do one again.
"Our company might not let us do entertainment programs again. Our CEO also says, ‘You should always be careful about making mistakes with your words.’ I'm a little careless when talking."
Meanwhile, YooA is planning to release her solo album, "BORDERLINE" on March 14th. This will be her first release in about two years since she dropped "SELFISH" in 2022.
