ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hoong Joon Acquitted from Charges Filed by Former FIFTY FIFTY Members

The CEO has been cleared of charges.

On March 11, Korean news outlets reported that the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul decided not to proceed with the complaint filed against Jeon Hoong Joon.

According to agency ATTRAKT, the notice stated that the case of breach of trust, which was filed by former FIFTY FIFTY members Saena, Sio, and Aran back in August 2023, would not be transferred. The agency let out a brief statement.

"We have received a notice of the investigation results regarding the case of CEO Jeon Hoong Joon's betrayal filed by three former members of FIFTY FIFTY, namely Saena, Sio, and Aran. The case has not been sent and concluded (no charges)."

In August 2023, law firm Barun, the legal representative of FIFTY FIFTY, shared that the group filed a complaint against the CEO at the Seoul Gangnam Police Station for allegedly violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes (also known as breach of trust).

During the filing, FIFTY FIFTY members stated that the CEO allegedly used the group's music and their profits from album sales to give out an advanced payment to StarCrew Ent, a company that Jeon Hoong Joon owned.

Five months after the complaint, the police decided not to file charges.

The agency also followed a brief comment, addressing the external forces that influenced the members to take action against ATTRAKT themselves.

"We will hold accountability to end the actions of the tampering forces which deceived the members," ATTRAKT shared. "Them, who did not understand the accounting principles of corporate funds and instigated the accusations."

In other news, the agency has claimed 13 billion won, which is equivalent to 10 million U.S dollars, from former FIFTY FIFTY members Saena, Sio, and Aran. The reason for the suing was due to the members reportedly breaching their exclusive contracts under ATTRAKT.

Apart from the three idols, the agency also extended its fight against the former members' parents, The Givers, Ahn Sung Il, and Baek Jin Sil, who were involved in violating the contract of FIFTY FIFTY. The agency gave out an official statement on December 19, 2023.

"The agency filed a civil lawsuit against FIFTY FIFTY members Saena, Sio, and Aran, alongside their parents, The Givers, Ahn Sung Il, and Baek Jin Sil for damages," the company declared. "The mentioned ones actively participated in breaching the exclusive contracts."
