iEs Send Protect Truck Demanding TEMPEST Hwarang's Return to Yuehua Entertainment

Fans are demanding TEMPEST member Hwarang return to group activities by sending a protest truck to Yuehua Entertainment. Keep on reading for all the details.

TEMPEST Hwarang Placed on Hiatus

On March 6, Yuehua Entertainment announced Hwarang would be taking a hiatus from TEMPEST activities. The group will currently be promoting as six members.

The idol was placed on hiatus after a video of Hwarang going to a club during his health break was spread on social media. Hwarang was asked about it during a fan video call fan sign event and seemed calm about the matter, saying, "I went to the club, but it's not like I did anything bad. I have no intention of deceiving the fans."

Hwarang was slammed for his words, and his company soon announced his hiatus. They stated that Hwarang deeply regrets visiting the club and has promised not to do so again. He will not be participating in the group's comeback, though he will likely remain in some pre-shot videos.

They apologized for the concern Hwarang's actions caused. Since his hiatus, Hwarang has stepped down from his role as MC on MBC's "Show Champion."

TEMPEST Fans Rally for Hwarang's Comeback with Protest Truck

News of Hwarang's hiatus did not sit well with fans, who stated it was normal for people to go to the club. Many people liked his honesty and appreciated how candid he was. Others also appreciated that he stated he had no bad intentions by going to a club and his loyalty to the fans.

On March 13, 2024, iEs (TEMPEST's fandom name) sent a protest truck to Yuehua Entertainment, demanding Hwarang re-join TEMPEST for their activities. On top of that, they also stated that they would always stick by Hwarang's side.

The truck also noted that TEMPEST is a seven-member group. Having one member means the group is incomplete and not fully TEMPEST, meaning the group is seven or none. Fans explained this message with a simple equation: "7-1=0."
