In an interview, the former I.O.I and top-tier soloist Chungha revealed junior idols that she has her eyes on.

Who did she choose? Read on to know!

Chungha Selects aespa Winter, LE SSERAFIM Yunjin, More as Juniors She Likes

On March 18, the idol appeared as a guest on Jo Hyun Ah's web entertainment program, "Everyday is Thursday's Night." There, the "Performance Queen" talked about various topics, including her comeback after about 2 years of hiatus, her relationship with I.O.I members as well as the juniors that she's been keeping an eye on.

While having a conversation as they enjoy food and alcohol, the Urban Zakapa singer and host asked Chungha:

"Is there any junior artist that you like nowadays?"

Excitedly, Chungha responded:

"There are so many. She also appeared in Jo Hyun Ah's 'Every Day is Thursday Night,' I like aespa Winter."

The "Gotta Go" singer added:

"I also like ITZY Yeji and STAYC Isa."

Among girl groups, she said she likes LE SSERAFIM.

"I also like all members of LE SSERAFIM. I love Huh Yunjin. Her vocals are crazy."

Hearing this, MC Jo was surprised as she thought Chungha was just the same age as the idols she mentioned.

Chungha then confirmed that they are all her juniors. Jo assumed that she debuted in middle school, but the idol, who was embarrassed, denied it.

"No, no, no. That's Somi! I debuted in my 20s. Early 20s. I wasn't a teenager."

Chungha Updates on Relationship With I.O.I

Hyun Ah then asked the idol about her relationship with her former group I.O.I after their disbandment. Chungha then attested to fans that even after the members parted ways, they still maintain their closeness.

In fact, she even met with Joo Kyulkyung, who actively promotes in China.

"I'm still close with the I.O.I members. We got together and had a Christmas party last year, too. I also met with Joo Kyulkyung recently (in Korea). Since she has been active in China for a while when I.O.I gets together, we always do video calls with her."

Chungha continued:

"Last year, we got together really often. For a while, we couldn't do it since were were all busy but for me, I had time to rest while moving agency so I had some free time and more chance to meet them."

Chungha was first known in the music industry after joining Mnet's "Produce 101" and debuting in the project girl group I.O.I in 2016.

After they disbanded in 2017, Chungha decided to pursue her solo career as a singer instead of re-debuting in a girl group and made her name popular with her hits like "Gotta Go," "Roller Coaster," "Snapping," and more.

In March 2023, Chungha then decided to part ways with MHN Entertainment, her agency of seven years. She revealed that she considered retiring early and starting anew abroad, but Chungha realized her love for her art and music through MORE VISION, a label led by Jay Park.

Under the company, she was able to bring her past team and staff from MHN.

On March 11, 2024, she made her return with "Eenie Meenie." Check it out below!
